Travel: Cozia Monastery

 

Named also "Nucet" or the Nut Grove, as there were many nut-trees around it in the past, the monastery is a sample of well-preserved Wallachian architecture, with Byzantine influences singled out by alternating bands of brick and stone and fluted, false pillars.
